I’ve been a professional outdoor writer since 2015 when I got my first clip in Mountain Magazine. Since then I’ve written for a number of magazines from hook-and-bullet stalwarts Field & Stream and Outdoor Life to general publications such as Men’s Journal. I’m especially passionate about investigating the connections—and tensions— between nature and social issues. I’m a lifelong angler, skier, backpacker, and novice hunter. Regardless of the subject, I strive to report each story with balance, thoroughness, and empathy. As an editor, I work to develop focus and clarity while preserving writers’ distinct voices and perspectives.
